TAKE-A-BREAK WINNERS ANNOUNCED

HOLIDAYING at local destinations within Australia, spending quality time on the coast, touring exotic locations and rewarding family members who supported harvest operations were some of the key themes of the winners and entrants into Grain Producers Australia’s holiday competition.

The competition reinforced the key theme and message of GPA’s successful Farmer Mates Mental Health partnership, about the importance of taking a holiday and break away from the farm, to help stay mentally and physically fit, fresh and healthy.

Entrants were asked to describe their ideal holiday destination, in 25 words or less, with a chance to win $5000 in holiday prizes. HERE

GPA Chair and WA grain producer, Barry Large, said he was extremely grateful for the support of Nufarm, GrainGrowers, Rural Aid and Lifeline, to run the competition and successful partnership, featuring Australian cricketing legend Brad Hogg, as the National Ambassador.

“We’re looking forward to seeing some of the holiday snaps from our winners and sharing those good vibes that you get on holidays,” Mr Large said.

“My personal favourite getaway destination is Rottnest Island off the WA coast with family and friends – that’s why we keep returning each year.”

The overall winner of the $2500 prize was Elisabeth Vogt from a cropping operation at Kapunda, in South Australia. The following were judged to be winners of the different competition categories, along with some honourable mentions:
