Grain Producers Australia is reminding all growers they can still have their say on the grains levy review consultation process that’s occurring and participate in the process – including attending Webinars.
Attendance at these online Webinars is open to all growers – regardless of their state or regional boundaries. This supports the review’s consultation processes and making information and resources as widely accessible as possible, to growers.
GPA chair, Barry Large, said he wanted all growers to engage in the review processes, to vote and help determine results; including attending Webinars, to access important information and resources.
Vote now HERE
“This process is open to every grain producer in Australia and forms part of the official review consultations being conducted by GPA – asking if levy-rates are fit-for-purpose – as per our legislative responsibilities for all growers and the official Guidelines,” he said.
“We strongly encourage all growers to have their say by voting and participating in this poll. We welcome your attendance at these Webinars events that are being conducted by GPA’s professional staff with grower representatives, to support information sharing.”

Mr Large said GPA was making the proposal as widely accessible as possible supported by use of modern technologies and tools, for consultation options, such as online meetings.
“GPA encourages all growers to share these resources HERE with other growers, to encourage their participation. It’s not compulsory to vote, but we want all growers to have their say, to ensure the widest possible consultations, for this groundbreaking survey/poll,” he said.
“These changes will make the system fairer and more equitable. This includes boosting our capacity to strengthen biosecurity protections, using our own levies. The recent detection of Khapra on imported goods in baby nappies at Woolworths is another reminder of why we need to do even more to protect our industry from escalating biosecurity risks.”
Growers can express their views directly to the consultation process by voting in the poll that’s being conducted for GPA by Australian Regional Insights. Data analysis and reporting will be conducted by ARI, with all results presented in a non-identifiable, aggregated format. The survey length is expected to take 3-5 minutes and is being made available digitally, to ensure the widest possible consultations. All information will be collected and securely handled by ARI in accordance with Australian privacy legislation.
