Grains Levy Review

For the first time in history, since the levy-system started, Australian grain producers can have their say, to help determine the grain levy’s future (rates). This process is open to every grain producer in Australia and forms part of the official review consultations conducted by GPA, as per our legislative responsibilities for all growers – and the official Guidelines.

We strongly encourage all growers to have their say by participating in this poll.

Message from GPA Chair – Barry Large

“I strongly encourage all growers to participate and have your say. I also want everyone to let other growers know that they can also have their say on these very important issues. And share these resources with them – especially the poll.

“It’s compulsory to pay levies and GPA wants to ensure we optimise the value and benefits they deliver, not only to growers but also industry. This is especially true in critical areas such as biosecurity, with the ability to invest more into stronger protections. That’s what we’ve been doing in this review, consulting with our members and the key stakeholders, asking the key question – are they fit-for-purpose?”
