Australian grain growers are interested in learning more about autonomous farm machinery, but are widely identifying cost and connectivity as barriers to adoption.
Future Farming reported on the results of a study conducted by Grain Producers Australia with the Tractor and Machinery Association of Australia (TMA) and the Society of Precision Agriculture Australia (SPAA) to guide and support grower adoption of the technology in Australia.

The groups have a long-running partnership in supporting growers in this area, while also ensuring adoption is guided by safe and realistic approaches to the ability for growers to take on the technology in their day-to-day operations.
As a part of the study a survey of growers was conducted, where nearly two-thirds of participants expressed interest in learning more about autonomous machinery and they identified productivity and time savings as the top benefits of adoption.
