A reminder to respect private property and biosecurity controls has been put out this week by Grain Producers Australia.
Farm Weekly reported the timely message as many hectares of canola crops around the country are flowering over the next few weeks.
GPA Chief Executive Colin Bettles told Farm Weekly that there were legal, social and economic considerations to be aware of when photographing the yellow landscapes.
"Tourists need to understand and recognise three key warnings, before trying to capture one of these pictures respect the farmer's private property rights, stay out of their crops to prevent biosecurity risks spreading, and park your vehicle safely," Mr Bettles said.

"First and foremost, it's illegal to enter someone's private property - you can't just walk past the fence line and out into the farmers' paddock, because that's considered trespassing.
"Farmers don't walk into people's homes and start taking pictures of their backyard gardens, so please stop and think before you act."
