FARM WEEKLY | High hopes that much needed-industry reforms follow agricultural roundtable

Grain Producers Australia was among the groups representing the farming industry at Federal Agriculture Minister Julie Collin's Agricultural Productivity Roundtable.


Discussions at the event will feed through to the Federal Treasurer's Economic Reform Roundtable later in August.

Farm Weekly reported the focus of the groups at the agricultural event was on highlighting agriculture's importance to the economy and national security.


Grain Producers Australia chief executive Colin Bettles said the agricultural and Treasurer's roundtables provided a platform for the farm lobby to hook into a national narrative and prosecute policy priorities from greater food security and access to farm inputs to optimising grain levies for growers and shared beneficiaries across the research and development landscape.
