A panel discussing farmer mental health and wellbeing was the stage for former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce and Farmer Mates Mental Health Initiative Ambassador and Aussie cricketing legend Brad Hogg.

Farm Online reported on the NSWFarmers Tamworth brand event and highlighted Brad's commitment to mental health with Grain Producers Australia's national program.

"I've spent a lot of time at field days over the last few years with the Farmer Mates Mental Health program, and the thing that always stands out is how important connection is, whether you're talking about the weather, the markets or what's going on at home, those conversations matter," he said.

"I enjoyed getting out on the road and meeting everyone in Tamworth and AgQuip and hearing all about what's happening in the local community, especially the farmers."
