WA farmer Barry Large has been re-elected to the Chair position of Grain Producers Australia at the national oganisation's Annual General Meeting in late July.
He was reappointed alongside three grower directors Andrew Weidemann (south), Duncan Young (west) and Brendan Taylor (north).

Mr Large said GPA's performance had been strong in the past 12 months, particularly in industry advocacy on the federal election, the APVMA review and national biosecurity.
“I’d like to thank and acknowledge Duncan, Andrew and Brendan for continuing to serve other growers in their communities with others on the GPA Board, to help make a difference right across our industry,” he said.
Mr Large said seasonal challenges remained at the forefront of GPA’s work, and on the mind’s of growers — particularly those experiencing drought in South Australia and dry conditions in other grain producing regions.
“Combined with escalating input costs and supply chain challenges, GPA remains focused on the job of supporting our members and responding to the needs of growers, when they need it most,” he said.
