The objectives of GPA are to establish a strong independent national advocate for grain producers
based on a rigorous and transparent policy development process; engage all sectors of the Australian
grains industry to ensure operation of the most efficient and profitable grain supply chain; and
facilitate a strategic approach to Research, Development and Extension (RDE) intended to deliver
sound commercial outcomes from industry research.
The terms of three current directors expire at our July 2026 Annual General Meeting to be held on 27th
July 2026. Those directors may stand for re-election.
Director applications are sought for each of the following three regions:
• Western Region
• Southern Region
• Northern Region
GPA will have regard to the qualifications of the candidate relevant to, or the experience of the
candidate in, one or more of the following fields:
(i) Grain production;
(ii) business management;
(iii) finance;
(iv) the promotion of products; the international marketing of products;
(v) administration of research and development;
(vi) commercialisation of the results of research and development;
(vii) conservation and management of natural resources, and environmental and
ecological matters;
(viii) government and public policy; and
(ix) any other field or fields nominated by the Directors,
and to the extent to which all the Directors collectively would possess an appropriate mix
of the qualifications and experience in the fields referred to.
