ABC RURAL REPORT | Grower feedback sought to support ZP50 application

Grower experiences with ZP-25 mouse bait were the focus of an ABC Rural Report interview with Grain Producers Australia RD&E spokesperson Andrew Weidemann.

Speaking with Selina Green, Mr Weidemann outlined GPA’s efforts to gather evidence from South Australian and Western Australian growers to support an emergency permit application for ZP-50.

“We want that anecdotal written evidence provided from a farmer,” he said.

The interview also covered research comparing the two bait strengths and concerns about product availability as mouse activity increases.

“The work and the information that we’re trying to gather from growers will obviously feed into that process as we get it.”
