Barry has been running a farming property in the Northern WA Wheatbelt over the past 30-years growing hay, cereals, lupins and oilseeds. He has extensive experience in agricultural representation and leadership and is one of GPA’s most experienced Board members, specialising in biosecurity policy and market access. Along with Andrew Weidemann, Barry is one of GPA’s remaining two founding Board Members who is continuing to serve growers and industry through his numerous committee positions and leadership roles. He is Chair of the Grains Industry Market Access Forum and a Director of the Council of Grain Growers Organisations (a founding member of GPA). Barry is also the former Chair of the WA Grains, Seeds & Hay Biosecurity Management Committee and former Vice Chair of the PGA Western Grain Growers Committee.
